Longview Farms Majestic Great Pyrenees
Our story began with Daisy in 20015. We had just moved onto 22 + acres in Northern California. Our youngest daughter Amanda, who was in her early twenties still lived with us at time. We knew there'd be times we'd be away from home leaving her out in the country alone. Thus our search began for the guardian dog best suited for families as well as livestock guardian. We happily discovered Great Pyrenees are just that dog. We'd already met Noble our friends Giant and quite magnificent white livestock guardian. We searched the net for a trusted breeder and found Prospect Pyrenees in Colorado from whom we bought our first Great Pyrenees and named her Daisy. We had found an amazing Breeder and equally amazing dog! I decided to become a breeder endeavoring to do for others what Lana had done for me and my family. Breeding and raising magnificent loveable dogs ready to guard and protect our home, family and livestock. As well as a loving gentle though vicious if necessary majestic white Pyrenees ready to love and protect. Daisy was my first and will always (I'm sure) be my favorite. Daisy is a little on the petite side and a true sweet heart. Our sire Thor came to us from Virginia. He is a large Majestic boy with that beautiful blocky head and a sweet gentle spirit. His guardian senses are very keen and he's always seen watching ready to protect if the need arises. Thor's bloodlines are amazing! He has multi champion and grand champion lines. Our newest dam Aria comes to us from Amber Waves in Southern California and she is giving Thor a run for his money in the height department. I was told the Hungarian line of Great Pyrenees are larger than those in the US. I took that with a grain of salt knowing that most people are looking for size in a GP. But, if Aria is a good representative of Hungarian GPs then the statement was pretty accurate.
Puppies and kids
At Longview Farms we handle our puppies from an early age. At 3 to 4 weeks we introduce them to our children and toddlers.
